OBJECTS ARE BY x Ruslan Baginskiy hat holder launch at Paris Fashion Week FW/25
On the occasion of Paris Fashion Week, OBJECTS ARE BY and Ruslan Baginskiy unveil Vent- a sculptural hat holder and one-of-a-kind design object, created in collaboration to honor movement, resistance, and the unseen forces that shape our world. The launch event took place in the showroom of Ruslan Baginskiy with special invited guests to preview the hat holder.
The name Vent, French for “wind”, draws from nature’s invisible power: the same force that bends trees, moves oceans, and shapes entire landscapes. It’s also the force behind change- both poetic and political.
The piece takes direct inspiration from “Wind”, the monumental mosaic by Ukrainian artist Alla Horska. A figure central to the Sixtiers (Shistdesiatnyky) cultural movement, Horska was a fierce defender of human rights and Ukrainian identity. Her work bridged modernist aesthetics and monumental art, serving as acts of resistance and remembrance. Today, Wind is the last remaining mosaic by Horska still standing in Kyiv- a rare survivor in the face of widespread cultural destruction caused by Russian aggression since 2022.
This collaboration merges Ruslan Baginskiy’s signature craftsmanship with OBJECTS ARE BY’s commitment to future-conscious design. Known for redefining materiality and creative process, OBJECTS ARE BY invited Baginskiy to expand his universe beyond headwear, reimagining the object as both tool and totem.
