Olfactory Signals Event at 10 Corso Como
Set against the iconic backdrop of 10 Corso Como, the event brought together an international mix of voices from the worlds of fragrance, design, and art. Alongside experimental perfumers and emerging olfactory ateliers, a handful of select homeware brands were invited to exhibit objects that communicate through material and context. Among them was OBJECTS ARE BY, showcasing its refined line of bone-free porcelain, an expression of quiet radicalism in the world of contemporary tableware.
The event also featured a compelling collaborative installation by illya goldman gubin and scent artist Sissel Tolaas, whose work further expanded the boundaries of what scent can represent within a cultural dialogue.
Over the course of the fair, the space transformed into a dynamic arena of discovery, dialogue, and exchange. Artists, designers, editors, and scent-makers mingled among tactile displays and ambient compositions, creating an atmosphere charged with curiosity and aesthetic resonance. The spirit of the event, intimate yet expansive, was a testament to the growing intersection between olfactory design and the broader creative disciplines.
Deep appreciation goes to the visionary team at System Preferences for making such a thoughtful and beautifully orchestrated event possible. Olfactory Signals marked not just a new chapter in the evolving relationship between scent and design, but also the beginning of meaningful new connections between makers, thinkers, and audiences.
